This website is run by Emma Owen, The Authentic Energy Coach ("I", "me"). Your privacy matters to me, and this policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what your rights are. It applies to visitors and customers worldwide, including in the UK, EU and United States.
What I collect
- Information you give me: your name and email address when you sign up for a free resource or my emails, and anything you write in my contact form.
- Purchase information: when you buy a course or programme, your name, email, billing details and order history. Payments are processed securely by Kajabi's payment partners (such as Stripe or PayPal). I never see or store your full card details.
- Course activity: your login details and progress in any course you join.
- Website data: basic technical information such as your browser, device and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools.
How I use it
- To send you what you asked for, such as the Everyday Alignment Toolkit or course access.
- To send you emails with reflections, podcast episodes and occasional offers, if you've signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To process purchases, provide customer support and reply to your messages.
- To understand how my website is used and improve it.
For UK and EU visitors, my legal bases are your consent (for marketing emails), performing a contract (for purchases and course access), and my legitimate interests (running and improving my business), as well as legal obligations such as keeping tax records.
Who I share it with
I never sell your personal information. I share it only with the trusted services that help me run my business, including Kajabi (website, courses, email and checkout), payment processors, and podcast and analytics tools. These providers may store data in the United States and are required to keep it secure. Where data leaves the UK or EU, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
My website uses cookies to keep it working, remember your preferences and understand how it's used. You can control cookies through the cookie banner and your browser settings.
How long I keep it
I keep your information only as long as needed: for as long as you're subscribed or have course access, and for any period required by law (for example, financial records). You can ask me to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how I use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. California residents have the right to know what I collect and to request deletion, and I do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. UK visitors can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
My website and programmes are for adults aged 18 and over. I don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
